Last Wednesday, it poured here like crazy. Cameron was walking up the stairs and noticed a beautiful rainbow outside. The picture does not do it justice at all! The colors were so bright, but then it disappeared after a few minutes. It was nice while it lasted! And speaking of rain, it started today and is supposed to last for a while here. Hopefully Cameron will get to practice tomorrow for their soccer game on Saturday. It's not looking too promising.
A little while ago, we had asked my dad to refinish Cameron's baby furniture for Baby Boy because he is really good with that kind of stuff. Unfortunately, he has had so many things pop up on his plate lately and has been super sick, so my parents offered to buy us new furniture. How nice! I know my dad felt terrible for not being able get it finished before baby got here, but we TOTALLY understand, Dad! :) I was already heading to Target that night, so I figured I would see if they had anything there. And they did! I found a really pretty dresser/crib combo by Delta that was exactly what we were looking for and it was on sale, so we ended up going back on Sunday morning to buy it. Jeff put the crib together by himself while Cameron & I supervised but I helped with the dresser and putting the drawers together was the hardest part....such a pain! But, it only took us a few hours and now I might have more inspiration to get something done with this room. Ha! Don't mind the chair beside the crib...I need to find a new cover that doesn't look so frumpy!
Later on Sunday, we went to Justin & Brennon's new house to watch the Tech game & eat dinner. They built in a really nice neighborhood and seem to have already met some great people. The house is beautiful and I think Dylan was very excited to show it off! We had grilled pork chops & corn, a few different dips and lots of beer for everyone but me! The girls played & played upstairs and Cameron was lucky enough to get to spend the night!
Skip to today....it's my first day of not going in to work! Of course I was still up before 7 to make Cameron's lunch & help Jeff get her off to school, but I've been pretty lazy most of the day. After today, only one more day of laziness and then we will have a sweet baby boy to bring home! Cameron, who likes to use her hands to emphasize what she is saying these days, told me the other day, "I can't believe we are going to have a boy in our family!!" :) After having been an only child for 5 1/2 years, her whole world is about to change!
